Guests at The Olde House self-catering cottages are invited to experience a lambing season first hand from 5 November to 18 December. We are arranging short break press trips for reviews, news and features.
The 30 three-to-five star cottages are part of a 550-acre working farm whose lambing seasons begin a little earlier than other parts of the country due to Cornwall’s milder climate.
Quads and triplets
Initial scans of the flock reveal that 345 ewes are expecting 32 singles, 219 sets of twins, 31 sets of triplets and one set of quads in total. Guests are invited to watch lambing and meet the newborns.
In addition to getting involved in feeding an array of farm animals – pigs, pygmy goats, guinea pigs in Pets Corner on this popular working farm – guests also have access to the indoor pool complex, farm trail, bird hide, tennis courts, and indoor and outdoor play areas.
Bring the dog: 27 of the 30 cottages are dog-friendly. There are also great walks in nearby Padstow and Polzeath.
