A Cornish farmstay holiday provider is to offer lambing experience activities during February and March, with guests invited to experience lambing first-hand.
The Olde House in Chapel Amble, near Wadebridge, is giving visitors the opportunity to meet the newborns throughout February and March, and perhaps even witness lambs being born during half-term week in the ‘Lucky Lambing’ group sessions.
The Olde House begins its lambing a little earlier than other parts of the country due to its close proximity to the Camel Estuary and Cornwall’s mild climate. 470 lambs are expected be born at the farm from mid-February until late March 2016.
There are 30 self-catering cottages on the 550 acre working farm, and guests have access to the indoor pool complex, farm trail, bird hide, indoor and outdoor play areas and Pets’ Corner.
Half-term late availability:
Lower stable (sleeps 2+) – £427.50 for seven nights, commencing Friday 12th February
Poppy (sleeps 6) – £584 for seven nights, commencing Saturday 13th February
Examples of cottages available in March:
