Four brand new homes in Nanpean, Cornwall, are now available to purchase through a shared ownership scheme offered by Ocean Housing Group.
The three-bedroomed family homes have been built by award-winning Cornish developer Gilbert & Goode, in the popular village located just a few miles from St Austell.
Gilbert & Goode’s sales manager, Emma Coltham, said: “There are many people with a connection to the local area who are looking to bring up their families in Nanpean, as it has a fantastic community atmosphere and a wide range of village amenities including a local shop, pub, post office, and primary school.
“Shared ownership provides an affordable first step onto the property ladder for those who cannot afford to buy their own home outright.

Ocean Housing Group is offering locals a chance to purchase a 25% share of the new builds in Nanpean, priced from £41,875, with a monthly rental charge from £261.71 on the remaining share.
With the shared ownership scheme, this means a deposit of just over £2,000 could be all that is required to buy one of the new homes.
Emma continued: “Average rent in Nanpean is around £750 per month. Taking into account a mortgage cost on the share purchased, combined with the rent, most people will be looking at a monthly cost of around £550 in one of our new builds.
“This is a significant saving of more than £200 a month, which is likely to be very attractive to potential buyers in the area.”
Providing flexible living across three floors, each home comprises a large open plan kitchen-diner-lounge, with French doors opening onto a rear courtyard garden. Two of the homes also include an en-suite shower room with the master bedroom on the second floor.
Prospective buyers for these homes are required to have a local connection to the parish of St Stephen-in-Brannel, although wider local connections may be considered.
Households with an income of less than £80,000 are eligible to purchase a home through the shared ownership scheme.
