One of the South West’s leading housing developers recently congratulated its longest-standing employee for 25 years of service.
Micheal Heard first joined Gilbert & Goode as a mason in 1997 and has since obtained four different roles, including supervisor mason, National House Building Council supervisor and manager, before being promoted to his current position, customer care manager.
His contributions to the company were celebrated recently with a presentation, gifts, and a Cornish crib of pizza and cake with his colleagues.
Micheal said: “The most rewarding part of my job is resolving customer issues and turning a situation around. I have built my career with Gilbert & Goode and as they have developed as a company, they have always maintained that their customers should be at the heart of everything they do.”
Gordon Innes, Gilbert & Goode managing director, commented on Micheal’s career so far: “What a fantastic achievement. It is great to have such loyal employees working with us and we are immensely grateful for Mike’s time here.
“As we continue to set ambitious goals, it’s great to know we have people like Mike on our team to support us along the way, who know our customers inside-out, and deliver customer care that goes above and beyond.”
Gilbert & Goode is part of the Ocean Housing Group, a registered housing provider. The group has recently celebrated two nominations in the Cornwall Business Awards, in both the Best Place to Work and Beacon Inclusivity Award categories. Winners will be announced on 17 June.
