Housel Bay Hotel, a boutique hotel perched on the cliff’s edge on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, has released a range of seasonal offers for winter stays.
The family-run hotel, which is the southernmost in Great Britain, is inviting guests to enjoy a winter escape to the coastline with its latest seasonal offers which include a range of packages and discounts for both long and short stays.
General Manager, Alfred Mesropians said: “A stay at the Housel Bay is all about slowing down and taking the time to unwind and get back to nature, something our fantastic location on the coast makes very easy.
“Winter is a great time to visit as the drama of the coast at this time of year makes the perfect backdrop for a rejuvenating break, whether it be for adventuring along the coast path, or simply to relax by the fire after a stressful Christmas. The winter offers have been designed to allow everyone the opportunity to take advantage of this often overlooked time of year.”
Located on the isolated Lizard Peninsular, an area of outstanding natural beauty, the 23-bedroom hotel boats an unspoilt view over its namesake Housel Bay with footpath access to the secluded Housel Bay Beach.
The hotel serves a range of cocktails and drinks from its bar Marconi’s and locally-sourced food from its two restaurants, the two-rosette-awarded restaurant Fallowfields, and the more relaxed Terrace.
The winter offers and packages include:
Mini Break (Available until 31 March, 2023)
Perfect for the quick getaway, guests can enjoy two nights, with 50% off the second night, welcome bubbles, breakfast and late checkout.
Stay a While (Available until 31 March, 2023)
For those in need of a longer break, stay seven nights or more and receive a 15% discount off the total price. Breakfast is included.
Sunday Sleepover (Available until 31 March, 2023)
Finish the weekend on a high and get 25% off Sunday night stays, £15 to spend in the Terrace, breakfast included and late checkout.
Housel Hideaway
A package for those in-between festive days, guests can enjoy a post-Christmas getaway and prepare for the new year in comfort. Housel Hideaway includes a stay for two or three nights from 28 to 30 December, two two-course meals at Fallowfields or The Terrace and breakfast every morning. A two nights stay with this package starts at £415 based on two people sharing.
Taste of the Season
Capturing the essence of the Cornish seasons through food, the Taste of Season package, which is currently celebrating autumn, will launch into winter on 22 December. The package includes a three-night stay with breakfast, a welcome cocktail, and two two-course meals which are inspired by the seasonal locally-grown produce.
Head Chef Joseph Fallowfield said: “We are lucky at the hotel to have two separate dining spaces. Our first restaurant, The Terrace, provides us the freedom to create relaxed dishes focussed on great local produce, whilst Fallowfields represents the very best that I can achieve; a culmination of my entire career, my passion and my experiences.
“Our dishes always revolve around the tastiest seasonal produce available at the time – something the Taste the Season package champions. We have a small kitchen team and the menu is an unfiltered, amalgamation of all of our ideas.”
Bookings and more information on all of the seasonal offers, including the festive events at the hotel, are available on Housel Bay’s website.
