Oltco, the UK and Channel Islands’ leading sustainable resin bound driveway specialist has just launched in Cumbria and is run by friends, Danny Combes, Dale Moulton and John Weller. Oltco will be delivering premium resin bound driveway solutions, including Oltco’s innovative Recycle Bound and Recycle Base products, across Cumbria, Keswick, Penrith and the surrounding towns and villages.
Recycle Bound is the world’s first recycled driveway solution which helps to combat the global issue of plastic waste. Made utilising a mixture of natural stone and resin as well as waste plastic that is already in circulation (including straws, plastic drink bottles and plastic food packaging) from a plastic recycling point, each square metre of Recycle Bound consists of the equivalent of 3,000 plastic straws. Therefore, if Recycle Bound was laid on a standard 70 square metre drive, the equivalent of 210,000 plastic straws would be recycled in the process.
Since the launch of Recycle Bound in January 2019, Oltco has already utilised the equivalent of over 400 million plastic straws in driveways, pathways and patios across the UK and this number continues to grow every week. Danny, Dale and John are looking forward to continuing to help combat the issue of plastic waste with Recycle Bound installations across the local area.
Alongside Recycle Bound, Oltco Cumbria also offers Recycle Base which is a ground reinforcement system made utilising stone and low-grade plastic, including waste ocean plastic which is developed by and exclusive to Oltco.
With a wide range of skills from working in the building and groundworks industry, Danny, Dale and John are equipped with the knowledge to successfully grow Oltco across Cumbria and surrounding towns and villages.

John says: “We are really looking forward to travelling across Cumbria and getting stuck in creating our customers’ dream outside spaces. For us, we love being hands on and getting creative so this felt like the perfect fit for us.”
