Porthilly Spirit Distillery, based in north Cornwall, has released a collection of warming cocktail recipes, perfect to make at home during the cooler months.
Working with award-winning writer and cocktail creator Jack Adair Bevan, the team has put together a range of cocktail bar-worthy drinks which showcase the unique flavours and ingredients used in the distillery’s coastal-inspired spirits.
“As we move towards autumn and winter, preferences naturally shift away from ice-cold refreshing cocktails to something a little more warming and sophisticated”, said Jack.
“Porthilly’s spirits are smooth, refined, and in no way heavy. The cocktail recipes have been designed to let the character of the gin, vodka, and rum shine through.”
The cocktail recipes include a fragrant and rich cardamom and rose espresso martini; hot buttered rum with toasted spices; and a rum and raisin old fashioned.
Porthilly Spirit Distillery is based at Trefresa Farm, close to Rock in Cornwall. Its range of Cornish Coastal Gin, Pure Golden Rum, and Cornish Coastal Vodka is an expression of the land and sea which surrounds the farm, made with Cornish spring water and local ingredients, such as Cornish sea salt, nettle, samphire, and sea pink.
The cocktail recipes are part of a collection developed over a year at Trefresa Farm, and captured on-site by photographer and chef Ben Pryor.
