Five of the UK’s leading independent breweries will be taking part in this year’s Three Cheers Pub Co. beer festival.
The recently renovated beer garden at The Avalon in Clapham will play host to the event which runs from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October.
Breweries taking part include Sambrook’s, Brixton Brewery, Anspach & Hobday, Yorkshire-based Timothy Taylor and The London Beer Factory which will be serving pints from a converted London black cab.
Ticket holders can choose from more than 20 different beers, chat to the brewers and enjoy six half pints for the cost of the £10 ticket.
Street food specialists Le ‘Bab will be serving gourmet kebabs throughout the weekend, alongside a range of dishes from the The Avalon’s al fresco kitchen, including special edition burgers, and the pub’s popular glazed ribs.
Co-founder Tom Peake said, “We’re looking forward to hosting this year’s beer festival and trying an array of beers in The Avalon’s beautiful garden.
“We have some fantastic independent breweries lined up including The London Beer Factory who created our Three Cheers Summer Pale Ale and Timothy Taylor whose Boltmaker was awarded 2014 CAMRA Supreme Champion Beer of Britain.”
The Avalon Beer Festival takes place at The Avalon from 6 to 9pm, Friday 2 October, and 12 to 6pm, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October.
Tickets are priced at £10, which includes 3 pints or 6 halves. The ticket admits one person only and can be used on any day of the festival.
The Avalon Beer Festival dates coincide with Balham Food Festival which is taking place from 27 September to 4 October. The Avalon will also be showing the Rugby World Cup throughout the tournament so it will be an opportunity to try some new and exciting beers whilst also catching up with the weekend’s sports fixtures.
Tickets are available from all Three Cheers Pub Co. pubs from 14 September.
