Cornwall based Sabzi, a sustainable and creative deli and restaurant, has opened the doors to its new location in Padstow. This is the first of two new venues, with a restaurant in Nansledan, Close to Newquay, set to open later this year.
Sabzi, which already has sites in Turo and Falmouth, was founded by chef Kate Attlee. Kate’s culinary journey has taken her from the picturesque landscapes of Cornwall to the prestigious heights of Michelin-star service in London, whilst always drawing inspiration from her Iranian heritage. She honed her cheffing skills on Masterchef in 2018 before starting Sabzi which focuses on how creative cooking can take simple ingredients and turn them into extremely tasty and affordable dishes.
Kate said: “I am so proud to be bringing Sabzi to Padstow. Part of the reason I designed Sabzi was to show that affordable food can be just as delicious and exciting as that of more traditional restaurants, and I am so excited for my next adventure on the North coast.”
The Padstow site will offer a range of food made with seasonal produce for both eat-in and takeaway customers. The deli will be located at the heart of town on Duke Street.
Sabzi has a close connection with its customers and will continue to uphold the exceptional service it has become known for.
Kate continued: “I founded Sabzi in 2019 with a vision to transform the culinary scene. With a deep passion for cooking, I wanted to build a deli in which I could be creative and experimental as well as provide a good quality, affordable option for locals and tourists alike.
“Although Padstow already has a rich foodie scene and an array of extremely successful chefs, I am excited to bring our unique flavours to this town and build relationships with all in the local community. Here at Sabzi, we believe that culinary excellence should not be reserved for a privileged few and we are dedicated to delivering top-quality food every day.”
Sabzi Nansledan, located in the Duchy development on the outskirts of Newquay, is set to open in September. Known for its sustainable practices and community-focused ethos, Nansledan aligns perfectly with the deli’s core values.
